(S1-M 6) Foundation Skills for Agility Part 1
About this event
This course is designed for dogs with no previous agility experience. Handlers might have trained other dogs or they, too, might be new to agility. The course will introduce the agility obstacles: jumps, tunnels, contacts, and weave poles and will focus on basic skills for both dog and handler (e.g., targets, turns, cone work; jump chutes). Dogs must have completed a basic obedience course and be reasonably steady off-lead. Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome. If your dog is under 1 year of age, jumping will be at minimal height no matter the breed/size. Handlers will be expected to crate their dogs if not working in the ring. "Homework" is mandatory."
