Conformation Handling
Anyone at any level who is planning to show a dog in the conformation ring should definitely take advantage of this class. Beginners who have never been in the ring before will learn what to expect when they head off to that first show--how to enter the ring, how to move with their dog, how to keep the dog steady so the judge can examine it, how to get their dog into that perfect stack, what they should be doing while the judge is examining the other dogs, etc.
Those who have already been showing dogs can get some extra practice, warm up before that next big show, give their dog experience in the ring, start a new dog on the conformation path, get help with a shy or timid dog, get a helpful critique of their handling and tips on ways to show their dog even better, learn about upcoming shows they can enter or maybe even some venues they haven't heard about before.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- First-time attendees (or those who haven't attended in a long time) must Register.
- Please find out ahead of time if class is meeting: class will not meet on weekends when there are big shows in the area, when there is a trial going on in our facility, and on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
