(S2-Sa 12) Introduction to Scent Work
This class is for dogs who are new to AKC Scent Work (SW) and will cover the basic principles of Scent Detection necessary for the dog & handler team to be successful. The AKC SW class will introduce skills such as odor preparation, search drive, odor obedience & indication. The primary purpose of the class is to establish odor recognition, clear indication and search behavior. The skills in this class will help to build confidence & proficiency for scent teams — AKC Scent Work areas of Containers; Interior; Exterior; Buried & Handler Recognition.
Prerequisite: having gone through a basic obedience class.
All Dogs must be crated when not working in the ring.
